Boreal Mountain Resort
Conveniently located just off I-80 on the crest of Donner Summit, Boreal has become a paradise for the terrain park enthusiast. The mountain went all-terrain-park for the 2005/06 season with paths and trails throughout for those of you who don't fancy hucking their bodies off 45ft jumps.
Boreal has invested over $700,000 in their new all-mountain park program. Look forward to the new superpipe cut by a brand new Zaugg pipe cutter featuring a 450 foot long superpipe, located off the Accelerator High Speed Quad on Race Course. In addition, they added two new grooming machines to the parks, 50 new rails and funboxes and 50 snow features and the regions top park builders, including Eric Rosenwald as Freestyle Park Director.
Andy Finch, recent Winter X Games second place holder of the men's snowboard superpipe competition commented on Boreal's new addition. "I'm stoked Boreal is bringing in the big 18.5 Zaugg, it's the best cutter with the smoothest tranies," Finch said. "This park is a dream come true for every park rider," said internationally known pro snowboarder David Benedek, producer of 91 Words for Snow, one of the biggest snowboard films coming out this fall.
